last revised: 08.01.2020
Ensinger GmbH thanks you for visiting its website and for your trust and interest in our products. The protection of your personal data during processing, and thus the preservation of your personal rights to informational self-determination, is a central concern for us. We would like you to feel safe at all times when visiting our website.
In the following we will give you an overview of the information we capture during your visit to our website and how these data are used:
1. General information
Personal data is information that relates to you personally. This may include, for example, name, address, telephone number, email address. Your personal data will be stored and processed according to the German and European data protection provisions.
We have taken technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against loss, destruction, manipulation, and unauthorized access. All of our employees and any third parties that are involved in data processing have been obligated to adhere to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“EU-DSGVO”) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) and to treat personal data as private and confidential. When personal data are processed via our website, their transfer will be encrypted in order to prevent misuse of data by third parties. Our security measures are regularly revised in accordance with technological developments.
There is no legal or contractual requirement to disclose personal data in order to use Ensinger GmbH's Internet website.
2. processing of data on our website
a) Data transmission and recording for statistical purposes
Your internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server when you access our website. These data include, among other things, the date and time of access, the URL of the referring website, file retrieved, quantity of transmitted data, browser type and version, operating system, and your IP address (“access data”). The access data are stored separately from other data that you enter when using our website. It is not possible for us to match the access data to a specific person. The access data are evaluated for statistical purposes and then deleted after no later than six weeks.
The access data are processed on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f of the EU-DSGVO. This is the basis of our legitimate interest in the continuous optimization of our website.
b) Cookies
Depending on your browser's settings, we collect information about your use of our website by utilizing cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit our website. Cookies help us to determine frequency of use and the number of users of our website and to design our offerings in a way that is most comfortable and efficient for you. Firstly, we use so-called “session cookies,” which are temporarily stored solely for the duration of your use of our website. In addition, we use “permanent cookies” to record information about computers that repeatedly access our website. Because of this, we are able to offer you better user guidance, “recognize” you, and present you with the most varied website possible, as well as new content. Specifically, we use permanent cookies to record the number of your visits, the duration of visits on our website, the beginning and end of use, and product interest.
The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. Name, IP address, and other information concerning your actual identity are not stored, nor do we create any individual profiles concerning your use behavior. Permanent cookies are automatically erased. The period of storage varies depending on the cookie. You can erase the permanent cookies in your browser's security settings at any time.
If cookies are used in the processing of personal data, the processing takes place on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f of the EU-DSGVO. This is the basis of our legitimate interest in the advertising.
c) Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a website analysis service of Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis to be made of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event of activation of IP anonymization on this website, however, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or other signatory states to the Convention on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymization is active on this website. On behalf of Ensinger GmbH, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services to Ensinger GmbH related to website use and Internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. Your data will be deleted after a maximum of 14 months.
You can stop the cookies from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software (see section 6, below); however, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website.
The processing of personal data by Google Analytics takes place on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f of the EU-DSGVO. This is the basis of our legitimate interest in the advertising.
d) Lead Forensics
This website uses Lead Forensics (https://www.leadforensics.com) an IP address-based web analysis service for website optimization and analysis of our Internet content, advertising and lead generation. Lead Forensics works on the basis of reverse business IP tracking, which is not the same as cookies. Instead a code is used, which tracks IP addresses visiting our website, identifies them as business related and matches them to a wholly owned global database of businesses and business information. The software is almost entirely focused on leveraging business related information to effectively match a business IP address with wider business data to provide valuable business related visitor information to us, such as the date and duration of the user’s visit, and the web pages which the user visits. This data may be used by us to contact the business about their experience or for marketing purposes. We will not pass this data to third parties for any reason. Furthermore, Lead Forensics does not identify any personal IP addresses, mobile devices or any other data than that associated with the business. It does not, and cannot, provide individual, personal or sensitive data regarding who has visited our website.
All data within the Lead Forensics solution is verified at least once in a 12 months cycle. Any invalid records are placed into a deletion queue, which is then securely purged four times in a 12 months period.
You can object to data being processed by Lead Forensics by clicking the link in section 6 below.
Processing of data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1f) GDPR. This is based on our legitimate interest of continuous improvement of our website.
e) Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps to show the locations belonging to the Ensinger Group and to produce directions. This is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.
Based on certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield Google guarantees compliance with the data protection regulations of the EU, even when data is processed in the USA.
When you access the integrated component Google Maps, Google stores a cookie on your device via your web browser. Your user settings and data are processed in order to display the relevant location and produce directions. It cannot be ruled out that Google will use servers in the USA.
By creating the connection to Google in this way, Google can identify the website from which your request is sent and the IP address to which the directions must be sent.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software (see section 6 below); however, we would point out that by doing so you may not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website.
Access data is processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR. This is based on our legitimate interest in making the locations shown on our websites easier to find.
f) Google Fonts
This website uses Google Fonts to depict external font types. This is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.
These fonts have been integrated locally on this website so they can be displayed. When you access the page, it is not possible for any link to Google servers to be created. It is not possible to identify the website from which your request is sent or the IP address to which the depiction of the font is sent. No protected data is transferred.g) Hotjar
This
website uses Hotjar, analysis software provided by Hotjar Ltd. (www.hotjar.com), in order to measure and
evaluate user behavior on our website in the form of clicks, mouse movements,
scrolling behavior, etc. This helps us to gain a better understanding of our
users’ experiences and expectations and to tailor our website accordingly.

information; geographical location (country only); preferred language; date and
time of access to our website; and your e-mail address, including your first
and last name if you have provided them separately on our website.
Hotjar transmits this data to its company server in Ireland and stores it there
in a pseudonymized user profile for up to 12 months, after which this data is
erased. Neither we nor Hotjar will use this information to identify individual
users or combine it with data about other users.
Access data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data
Protection Regulation. This is based on our legitimate interest in the
continuous optimization of our website.
You can object to Hotjar’s processing of your data by clicking on the link in
Section 6 of this Privacy Statement.

You can use our contact form to send us messages and questions. The data that you enter into the contact form will first be transmitted to Ensinger GmbH in Germany. After that, your data will be forwarded to the appropriate company within the Ensinger group of companies for processing of your inquiry and will then be erased. We use your data exclusively to answer your contact inquiry.
There is no legal or contractual obligation to provide personal data when making contact. Please note, however, that we will not be able to process your inquiry if you do not provide information that is designated as necessary.
For the purpose of processing your inquiry, your data will be stored until your inquiry is fully processed, but not more than six weeks, and will then be erased. This does not include data that are necessary for accounting or bookkeeping purposes or that are subject to the statutory retention obligation; in Germany, the duration of storage of such personal data is based on §257 of the Commercial Code and §147 of the Tax Code.

In the insulbar-Finder, you can transmit an inquiry to us or register for the login area of our insulbar®-Finder. It is possible that the data that you enter into the respective form will be transmitted to Ensinger GmbH together with your most recent product selection and the information concerning the articles in the basket. We process your data exclusively in order to send you the login data, process your inquiry, develop solutions on the basis of your product selection, and make contact with you. For these purposes, your data will be stored for as long as they are necessary for processing your inquiry and will then be erased from the server of the insulbar®-Finder. This does not include data that are necessary for accounting or bookkeeping purposes or that are subject to the statutory retention obligation; in Germany, the duration of storage of such personal data is based on §257 of the Commercial Code and §147 of the Tax Code.
In order to process your inquiry, we will forward your data to companies of the Ensinger group of companies or other distribution partners if necessary for the efficient processing of your inquiry and, if applicable, the establishment of contact with you by the distribution partner closest to you.
You have no legal or contractual obligation to provide personal data as part of registering for our insulbar®-Finder. Please note, however, that we will not be able to enable you to use the login area of our insulbar®-Finder if you do not register.

aa) Pursuant to your respective consent, you subscribe to our insulbar® newsletter or our impulse magazine, or are included in our press distribution list. We inform you regularly about our goods and services in the area of plastics solutions in our newsletters, impulse magazine, and press releases.
bb) We use the so-called double-opt-in procedure for registration for our insulbar® newsletter, impulse magazine, or press distribution list. That means that, after you register, we will send you an e-mail to the indicated e-mail address, in which we will ask you for confirmation that you want our insulbar® newsletter, impulse magazine, or press releases to be sent to you. If you do not confirm your registration within four days, your information will be blocked and automatically erased after six weeks. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to document your registration and, if necessary, clarify potential misuse of your personal data. Therefore, we will store your e-mail address, IP address, and the time of your application and confirmation for as long as necessary to document your registration and confirmation, if claims, particularly civil and/or competitive claims, are asserted against us. In any case, your e-mail address, IP address, and the time of your registration will be erased if the respective claims have been time-barred.
cc) The only mandatory information for sending the newsletters is your e-mail address. To register to have impulse magazine or the press releases sent, we also need your first and last name and your mailing address if you have selected dispatch by post. The specification of further data is voluntary and will be used to be able to address you personally. You have no legal or contractual obligation to provide personal data as part of the registration for or confirmation of our newsletters, impulse magazine, or press releases. Please note, however, that we will not be able to send you our newsletters, impulse magazine, or press releases, if you do not provide us with your e-mail address, IP address, and the time of your registration and confirmation. k) Social Media
Our website integrates so-called 2-click social buttons from Facebook, LinkedIn and Xing. If, when using our website, you are logged into one of the above networks at the same time, no data will be automatically transferred. Only when you activate the respective button with a 2nd click will a direct connection be established between your browser and the server of the selected social media service. In this way, the provider of the network is informed that you have accessed our website with your IP address, and would like to share the site you are visiting on the respective social network. By clicking once more, you agree to the transfer of the respective data and to sharing the page.
In addition, so-called social bookmarks from the same services are integrated on the website. Social bookmarks are web links to a company’s social media channels. After clicking on the link or the corresponding image, you will be transferred to the respective provider’s website, which means that only then will user information be transferred to the respective provider.
Please note that we do not receive any information about the contents and use of the data transferred from the respective provider. For more detailed information about how your personal data is dealt with when you use social networks, please refer to the respective provider’s privacy policy.

Your application data will be stored until the final decision concerning the filling of the advertised position and will then be erased. The foregoing will apply unless you expressly consent to the storage of your data in the Ensinger application pool or an employment relationship is established on the basis of your application. In such case, your application data will also be processed for purposes of the implementation of the employment relationship.
Your application data will be processed on the basis of Article 88 paragraph 1 of the EU-DSGVO in conjunction with §26 paragraph 1 sentence 1 of the Federal Data Protection Act.
