insulbar materials: It’s all about the right mixture

Improved materials play an important pace making role for technological development. This is also the case for the thermal separation of window systems. Alongside the technical criteria which a material essentially has to fulfil, climate and weather conditions, for example, place a variety of demands on the material.

The plastics that we use for insulbar insulating bars are almost exclusively polyamides. These have the optimum mechanical properties for this purpose.

Plastic granules

Plastic bars for thermal separation of windows and façades must above all be stable, durable and have a highly insulating effect. But not all bars are the same. Different intended uses require different materials and modifications. Here is an overview of our insulbar TECATHERM materials:
